Hi - I did not hide my diabetes as such but did not actively tell people due to them then driving me crazy about what I eat due their ignorance of the condition. What sort of scenario are you refering to? Who do you want to tell and why?

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve. I started wearing a Medic Alert Necklace once I was married as my wife used to get worried when I travelled for business. She had a lot of piece of mind from this. Being frum, this created situations when people would notice it and ask. Depending on situation, I would tell them "for a medical condition" and leave it at that and sometimes I would elaborate. I recently started wearing a pump and it is on my belt which is quite visible. The same thing happens. I do still get the annoying remarks "should you be eating that" etc and if they wind me up, I will unfortunately tell the individual quite bluntly they should not pry into things they don't understand! If you want any advise, please feel free to ask.
