I know some peope that are very successful at treating autism in their children with diet. I would give a summary, but I feel that I would not do justice to this topic. If you are interested you can go to www.pecanbread.com. Online support is available at www.pecanbread.com/registration.html if you have questions. I highly recommend the book Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride MD which is very scientific and explains everything. It also recommends the SCD diet with minor adjustments and specific supplementation. These people have been successful after other diets have failed them.

Hi! There are some kids that are very highly allergic to certain foods like wheat and dairy. When eating these foods they start acting autistic like. If caught early enough and withhold all foods that they are allergic too they will start showing their normal behaviors. Even though its not a very large percent most autistic children do well with a good diet and are much calmer and attentive. Thanks!
