When people 'loose' their hips the common proceedure is hip replacement which has been around for many years.

However, for the reasons listed below, hip RESURFACING is often a better option..

1) No part of the hip is removed
2) Patients can be much more active than after hip replcmnt
3) ideal for younger patients who have many years ahead of them
4) both hips can be done at once.
