I've had Kidney stones years ago, and even though I remember how painful it was, I still can't bring myself to drink enough. How do you manage to drink so much without feeling nauseous and bloated, without having to use to restrooms too many times during work, without it being a struggle each day???

Gotta go to the bathroom, that you can't help. its the only way to keep the build up from happening.

But with regard to drinking, SIP, and if water doesn't make you feel good, put flavor in it. You probaby wouldn't feel nauseous and bloated if you did go to the bathroom when the "call" came.

Do you drink tea? You can drink decaf tea, maybe some flavored waters.

Make a goal for yourself. Reward yourself when you reach the goal.

You shouldn't continue to feel bloated once your body gets used to the large quantity you're drinking it will adjust.
