I am a 43 old women with auto immune hepatitis. I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago. I have gone from being on the transplant list to being completely off medication.
I am looking to connect with anyone who has this condition.

My son is 3 years old and has chronic liver disease. He was diagnosed 1 year ago. He has had two liver biopsy, he is being treated for auto immune hepatitis, because they just had to do something, his ALT and AST were close to 3000. I don't know if I can be of help to you, but I am interested in your experience. I have been told that he can go from being totally off medication ( he is on Prednisone and Imuran for the last 8 months) to needing a liver transplant. I would apprecate a little more info on what your numbers were at the time that you were on the transplant list and how you got to be off medication. I would also be interested in which hospital you are affiliated with ( i know pediatrics are different)
Thank You
