I really think thats just it, Im not depressed, im just lazy. On shabbos I had to drag my body out of bed, forced it around the block, each step was so heavy and weighed down. Now I just washed the dishes but that didnt even make me feel good cuz my mom cooked the whole shabbos and im so freakin incapable. Even the other people in the outpatient program all drive even though it makes them anxious.
One lady has to cuz her husband cant anymore medically, so she forced herself to drive. But i dont force myself.I just dont drive.
So maybe its not depression, its the wrong diagnosis. Maybe Im just lazy.

hey then i can also say i'm lazy and so can everyone else. i went to sleep three times today = i'm just lazy and don't wanna do anything.... if it would only be laziness then you woould be able to keep a job. you gotta realize that you have a disorder that's called depression not laziness!!!!!!

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm happy.

Lazy people want to live a good life, and don't ever think about ending their lives. No, definitely not lazy.

U have depression not laziness. When the depression lifts a bit, do u become more active? Do your steps feel less heavy? Do you stop berating yourself for actually DOING the dishes? Probably... So its not laziness its MDD- major depressive disorder

The fact that you went to your friend yesterday shows that you're NOT lazy

how did you know that i went to my friend? did i write that somewhere?
yes lasthope youre right, today i have more energy bh. i did laundry and was actually "happy" to put away the groceries. and i shopped my moms whole shavuos shopping list which i didnt think i could do! i felt good after, like im capable of something. but then the anxiety creeps up and says you cant always do this, fear of failure/expectation.

Drop the expectations! That's the key, at least for me. You do the best you can within the circumstances you are given. When you feel good you do more. When you feel worse you do less. You can't expect anything of yourself at any future point in time because you don't know how you'll be feeling.

What an insensitive and rude taxi driver! Ive had comments like that by tactless ppl also. And it was hurtful i wont deny it. I just had to keep reminding myself that they have a problem not me. You are beautiful, dont even give another thought to his stupidity!

When you call yourself names that's your depression speaking. Try to be kind to yourself. Pretend you're talking to a friend in a similar situation. Or write yourself a letter.

Have a good Yom Tov!
