I have been curious about this lately....have you made arrangements with a chavrusa??? I hope so. Otherwise, just how do you get out of bed in the morning. I am exhausted lately and find it nearly intolerable and I'm a morning person!!!!!!

Munkster, when you can't get out of bed think of the wonderful coffee you'll get if you do get up. I know you love coffee..
Do you have a friend that you can make up with to go for coffee very early?

My grandmother's Levaya just finished.

I am shaken up by how fragile life is.
We life for a few years then get old and sick and then die.

What do we have left?

My grandmother would light up when she saw me -but I didn't take advantage of that opportunity to internalize her love. I will never have that opportunity again.

My grandmother told me a few months ago that I should do a lot now when I'm still young because once I get old I wont be able to accomplish.

May Hashem give me and you the wisdom, strength, courage, serenity, and happiness to accomplish and fulfill...

...I'm so sorry MoMo about your grandmother. I hope your positive memories of your grandmother will help you internalize the love now. She would probably want that....being that she loved you. As soon as possible start learning with a chavrusa in her memory. I've found that very helpful in dealing with grief related to loss of relatives of mine. I know death sounds bleak, but death is just the beginning of a new form of life with Hashem -- that's what I think at least. May we be zocheh to see Moshiach come soon so that we can all be reunited with our loved ones in this world. I hope what I wrote was of comfort.

Thanks Munkster!!!

I just started a 'trial week' in a new town.
I made up to learn with my cousin every night and I'm looking for a chavrusa for an hr in the mornings.

I'm also helping out a friend who started a new business.
Please have me in mind in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!

P.s. thanks for your words of comfort it was very helpful!!!

I'm not sure yet.

On the one hand I was very depressed
I think it's because I was actually facing the world and people as opposed to hiding..
But maybe it's something that can work of I give it more time.

I want to give it another week.

Thanks so much for thinking of me and asking!!!

Good luck MoMo. Hope it all works out for the best. Moving to a new place can be very unsettling in the beginning, especially so for someone struggling to begin with. It gets easier over time.

I'm touched!

I just moved in to my own apartment -more like a bungalow :-) yesterday!!!

I have mixed feelings:
I am in a new city these past few weeks and I'm much more active here so that's good.
I was staying by relatives but have my own place now so that's good.

But I'm lonely and last night -my first night in my apartment I had a panic attack....

I'm lonely.

I need to get married but don't feel fully ready and I'm afraid...

Can I ask what you are afraid of? What is it that makes you not feel ready? Or more unready than anyone else?

I struggle socially. I am painfully self conscious and don't manage well being around people. I have a hard time interacting with people. I have this deep fear of being discovered to be a weirdo. I am terrified of being discovered and so I try to cover up my real self but I live in fear...

I sometimes feel more confident about myself and function normally but other times I feel terrible about myself and don't function well at all..
I am afraid of how all this will impact marriage.

There was a shadchan in shul today. I felt so terrified of being 'seen' that I wanted to run out so badly!!

You are not a weirdo. I KNOW that. We all have our insecurities. Just make sure they are in check before you go into marriage. Work out the not-so-right beliefs about yourself and you'll be a great husband one day. You can ALWAYS tell a shadchan you aren't available and that you'll inform him/her in the future if you become available. Truthfully, I think you'll be an awesome husband to someone because you are so sensitive.

How is the learning going? And how was your appointment?

My current dr is also part of a "behavioral health" practice. Which I think is such an inappropriate name! I don't have a (mis)behavior problem, thank you very much!
