Hey...

I need some support here

The moment I've been dreading has arrived....

I've been dating this guy for almost a month...we b"h really get on well together...he's basically ready to propose...

and now's the time to reveal my secret

I'm petrified

I already told him about my family issues, being in therapy etc, and he totally accepted all of it. He is really a very sensitive and caring person.

What I still need to tell him is- about the depression and anxiety- although b"h I am taking homeopathic medicine and vitamins and am feeling totally healthy and functional

I'm just so scared of being rejected at this point

But I know I need to be completely honest

If he's gonna reject me- I don't know how I will have the strength to go on

Our next date is on Tuesday and I'm gonna finally say it. I already mentioned to him that there's one other thing I want to discuss- and he said whenever I feel comfortable...

any advice/support would be helpful. I don't know how I can stay calm till Tuesday....

thanks

Wow!
But it seems like you've already told him about therapy, so he knows something.
And you don't have to lay it on the table clearly. I don't think so.
It's enough to present him with the basics. He doesn't need the trimmings.
Protect yourself. Don't be too open.
You may think I'm being sneaky, but if you would ask a mentor, I think he would say the same thing.
Good luck!
And if he's the right one, may Hashem help it happen!

I spoke to a mentor...

he told me that I shouldnt say irrelevent details that are totally past and over with b"h, such as: I wont say anything about past suicidal thoughts, cutting and hurting myself, pornography addiction, and crazy side effects from real meds- cuz those are things that don't effect me any more and are totally over and done with

I do need to speak about- depression, anxiety- the stuff I'm taking etc. I can't marry someone and then they'll discover the homeopathic medicine with the label in my dresser....I need a husband who will support me with it and through it. I'm feeling totally good and functional- miraculously bh- but it needs to be said since it's so much a part of my life

Lots of Hatzlacha with the shidduch! It sounds like you already spoke to the right people and know what to say. You just need to have confidence in yourself and in Hashem that it's in His hands. And if this is the right person for you, he will accept you for everything that you are. Best of Luck!

I don't know if it's too late to daven to Hashem on this one but I will anyhow and hope He listens. Either way it should be with mazal......it should just work out to be the RIGHT person .
