I just realized that it is so pathetic to be depressed about my future when I still have my whole life ahead of me!!!
Who knows what"ll be!!!

In the big picture the stuff I'm worried about might be insignificant!

Very true! Especially when you look at things from your soul's point of view.

I was listening to a talk from TED.com about how in the secular world life really starts in your thirties...
It for me thinking that in a few years all my life circumstances might be totally different..
It would be small minded to get so caught up in whether the details are working out when these details are all temporary...

Whatever...

That's funny. Tisha ba'av seems to be tickling your funny bone. You made me laugh when I should really be crying. I guess it's venohapoch hu for us today.... I like that.

Isnt every day venahapoch? There is no yetzer hara to be depressed today so none of us are particularly depressed. Once its a "mitzva gidolah liyot bsimcha" then the yetzer hora throws off our na-nach hats...

That's an interesting take channa . I usually get pretty depressed on tisha ba'av, though. If I feel happy I always feel guilty about not mourning the churban enough.
