Has anything helped you to stop hating yourself so much?
I read that people who self loath it's not that they see MORE deficiencies in themselves than ordinary people. It's that they attach much more SIGNIFICANCE to those negative traits.

The fact is that everyone (or most people) have both positive and negative traits. Self loathers believe that they are bad/unworthy/deffective because of the negative while non-self-loathers don't view it as harshly.

Are you too harsh with the negative aspects of yourself?

I think that this is something I will have to deal with every day of my life.
But as I get older, I see that people don't want or need me to be perfect, only sincere and genuine. What comes from the heart enters the heart.
We"re all in this world together, each with his own imperfections. The more I accept that, the easier it is to relate to others.

I like how you phrase your posts, Momo... Like open ended essay questions that make people think...its cool...

Keepclimbing, you're so right about people needing you to just be sincere and genuine. That has been my experience too. There is such a dearth of genuine people these days, that it's very much appreciated.

Momo, in my experience, the more you focus on being sincere, kind, compassionate and sensitive to others, instead of worrying how they perceive you, the more others will warm up to you and the less awkward and self-conscious you'll feel. Just let your wonderful inner self shine through.
