After years of struggling on Purim, I realize that the best way for me to cope is to tryy to keep to my regular schedule as much as possible. Otherwise, the chaos overwhelms me. And chaos is the last thing my brain needs.
A truly freilichen Purim to all.!!!!

Been thinking of all of you here at Frumsupport - still not in a very good place to come often, although I do peek in from time to time. Here is a Purim Card I am sending to you.....
Purim Sameach!

Rainbow promises,
Promises that are always true
The rainbow shows -
Even deserved, Hashem won’t destroy under a flood of blue

Hashem promises that we will not be annihilated
We can be part of the solution - or not
Just as Esther had a difficult choice -
Risk going to the King - or rot

We each have our choices in life,
and our own colorful domain
There is in reality, only Hashem
His Rainbow Promises of love and mercy remain

Internalize that hidden truth
Sweet, longer-lasting than an all day lollypop
Hashem is our Father
His love for us will never stop

Each is as unique as different colors
Yet share an aspect of Hashem’s divine light
White light when gazed at through a prism of water
Reveal all the colors, rainbow bright

Torah is compared to purifying water
Through the prism of Torah, true color is revealed
Colors which form a beautiful tapestry -
With what lens, is your vision sealed?

Rainbow Nigun (sung to the tune “Somewhere over the Rainbow”)

Somewhere over the rainbow
Shamayim Shines
Olam Habah to yearn for
Daily davening times

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the prayers that you dare to pray
Really do come true.

Someday we’ll learn, like Esther the star
And wake up where our tears are far behind us.
Where tzoras melt like candy drops
As we are taught by our moms and pops
That's what Hashem is teaching us.

Somewhere over the rainbow
My neshama will fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Freilichen Purim

Purim was not easy. I kept thinking on purim "i love Hashem, I love Torah and chagim, but I hate purim" and then I realized I don't hate purim. I hate the way that it is celebrated. It is not celebrated properly.

Not everyone celebrates it wrongly, but most people do, including me. Focusing too much on mishloach manos and not enough on matanos lievyonim... do you have any idea how many "purim parties" take place on purim night, which become an excuse for guys and girls to party together and do lots of inappropriate things...using drinking as a partial excuse that it's ok what they are doing. Purim is holier than Yom Kippur, they say, and we forget that it's the day when the gates are open to tefilos. I forgot to daven on Purm cuz i was so busy doing other stuff. I'm not being hard on myself or others, its just the reality. IY"H I hope to be better next year, cuz I learn from my mistakes, but it's just a hard day.
