Two experiences

First: Has anyone ever experienced coming out of therapy feeling worse than when they walked in?

Two: Has anyone ever experienced that they wanna tell their therapist something that's bothering them but can't. Maybe because they're ashamed, scared etc... What do you do in such a situation?

Would love feedback....

Thanks

Sometimes you need to run away just to see who will follow you.

Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say "I know you are not".

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm happy.

Yes!!
I'd write it or email it instead of saying it.
I feel for you - it's very hard to have something that needs to be said that you can't...

Yes definitely! I either haven't said it til now or forced part of it out .
For example I started telling my thrrapist that I have something I
Want to talk obout and she helped me through it. But I agree with
Momo about writing or emailing it. Good luck!

Nothing to add but to agree with MoMo.

I have had the experience of coming out of therapy feeling worse than when I went in. It sucks. I think it comes from hoping that things will be better and then leaving feeling like nothing changed. Or maybe it comes from holding everything together throughout the week and then letting everything out so everything is on your mind when you leave. I'm not sure why it happens, but I hate it.

Yes...to feeling worse.... I try to talk about it the next session....

Yes... To not being able to say something... I can usually get out saying that I have something to say but can't and we try to find a way for me to express myself... Perhaps through writing like Momo said...or art is something I have used.

It is sometimes hardest just before making great progress....

Take care ....so guess who is forgetting stuff... I just realized I already posted on this thread..... Sorry, under stress I start forgetting things
