I'm in a funk and worried about whattll be. At this stage in the game I'm in it alone. There's no one to care enough to walk me through it. My head's spinning as i enter this new phase.

I wanna escape to somewhere far away any suggestions?
As an observant jew relationships out of marriage aren't an option which is sad since i can really use it...

What do you think?

What is this "new phase" you mention?

Did something change? Job, apt? therapist?

I' took DBT for a few months. I found a lot of the ideas really helpful-even life changing. But I didn't like the group or therapist very much, so I dropped it. Ever considered trying it?

I have also fallen into a depression over the past few weeks.
My child's wedding is in a week and I am very anxious that

I might ruin the simcha.
Lately, it has been OCD issues witth Halacha socifically financial.
It feels like that I have nowhere to turn.

I don't think you will ruin the simcha at all. I was in a major depression during the whole period of my child's engagement and wedding and didn't ruin it for anybody. I felt really sick, was unable to feel any pleasure, but most people did not know and were not affected. Of course you'r e nervous about it, but it really will work out. You'll see.

Thank you for responding KC
My depression started right before the engagement.
Everything went smoothly with my other children.
This child is the youngest and we will now be empty-nesters.

It so hard to be depressed with such a big simcha coming

It is so kind of you to remember about the simcha.
The wedding went much better than expected.
My big issue now is driving back home. It is a several hour
trip and my wife does not drive on highway.

I am very anxious about doing all the driving.
The other driver is now married
