I'm not sure if this is eating disorder related or medication related....figured I'd ask around here to see if anyone knew about it.....I'm having problems with eating anything other than soft foods. Yummy oatmeal, applesauce, ice cream and salsa....I'll skip almost anything else....forget chewy, crunchy, or anything else. My doctor suspects it is medication related but she doesn't know I have eating disorder issues. I still will go through binge-purge cycles and stuff but it isn't the same. Life is quieter (no more noisy foods) and I'm sure that is probably why I chose those foods -- they didn't exacerbate a very bad headache, but now, it's gone and I am unable to eat chicken and other stuff without real effort. It's weird. So....is this an ED related thing or is this a medication related thing? Any easy answers?

just from my eating disorder "experience" it sounds kinda ED related. Like maybe at first you ate those because of the headache reasons and then since that's all you were eating they've become your "safe" foods. Which makes eating other foods hard.

Did your doc say why medication would cause this?

She said something like that it could cause me to be more sensitive to different tastes and textures and stuff....don't know?
