Does anyone get MAD when people comment on how much you eat or what you're eating? I struggled with anorexia and B'H have come a long way. I mean, it's like what do they want from me all ready? I already have an eating disorder; what more do they want? It's such a double bind! They can't expect me not to have an ED when they say don't eat this, don't eat that, this isn't good, cut out this food, and comment on my appearance (specifically my weight)! Can anyone relate?

perhaps one way to deal with it, is to tell yourself: nebech, it's such a rachmonus (a pity) on these people. they lack basic sechel (intelligence).

in other words, to focus on how they have a problem, and you wish you could help them.

Well, I'm not quite on that level yet...but yes, I do realize it's not me who has the problem...

that's my main point. to realize and focus that the problem is with them.

i think that by focusing on them, it will help you not to feel bad. because if you're focusing on them, you're not thinking about yourself.

Aww, thanks everyone! Does anyone else feel awkward eating around other people like I do?
