I see alot of discussions about everything from the Feingold diet, to Dr Hallowell.

As a POI, Dr. Hallowell spoke at a special meeting of my support group.

There is no one "cure" for ADD/ADHD...

I am searching for answers, just like everyone else...

One word of caution.. you need to be your own advocate..
And please understand the following....

If you go to the governments website (NIMH-national institute of mental health), you'll see hwatthe problem is...

There are so many possible causes for ADD/ADHD...

The longtime thinking is that one (or more) of our neurotransmitters are connecting properly...

You really need to be a biology & chemistry major to understand the brain....and how it works.. its expremely complex.. to put it mildly...

Thats why everyone reacts differently to the same medication...

Lately, I have started taking some natural supplements.. if only because their safe.. and not meant to replace my prescription meds...

Do I see a difference?
To early to tell..

My doctor tells me... wait a few months & see...

I don't have any particular brand.. all the majors are good...

Yeah just to add to this. I hear a lot about how bad eating is the cause for ADHD and if people just ate healthy it would go away. I eat plenty healthfully and I still feel the need to take my medication.

I agree that for everyone it's different and you just have to try different stuff out and find what's best for YOU.

Did you read Dr. Hallowell's book "Delivered from Distraction"? It's so helpful. He focuses on the 'gift' or creative component in those with ADD/ADHD.
