I have a fear of people discovering that I lack social confidence. This makes a lot of social interactions very stressful.

Do you have this problem?
I just thought of some ways to work on this.

1. To acknowledge the interactions that do go OK. This is so that I do not end up feeling that I can't interact at all.

2. Take notice of other people's social imperfections. Take notice of whether people look down at them because of it.

What do you guys think?

I met an old employer and he seemed worn out and dull. But it's ok I still like him.

I have a friend who many consider 'different' but he has friends and and is married and has a fulfilling life. So is it true that if people know that I'm 'different' that I will be doomed?

When these nagging thoughts about being "different" c0me (and I think everyone has them), I tell myself that there is no "ideal" and there's no "track" that I must follow. It's just me and Hashem. And I've got to do the best I can (me, noone else) with the tools He gives me.

Do you even want to marry someone who isnt "different"? they wont be able to relate. I personally want a guy with a stutter....
Plus, 1 in 4 people suffers from mental illness. That means 25% of the people in the world are considered "different".
just something to think about....
You proved it yourself your not doomed... ( I have a friend who many consider 'different' but he has friends and and is married and has a fulfilling life)
Its just the believing that, that is hard.....
