It recently dawned on me (pun intended) that I suffer from SAD. Has anybody used a light box for this? there are so many to choose from, which one have you gotten?

You can get full spectrum lighting, in both flourescent and regular lighting and can be bought at a regular hardware store, like Lowes, or Home Depot. Use as many of them in your house as possible.

Would that help instead of sitting by a light box?

If I'm not mistaken its about the same, and if its your "regular" lighting, then you have it all through theh ouse, you don't have to sit in one place.

Can' you not go outside for an hour a day?

I'll look into the lightbulbs. In the winter in the northeast part of the US, when the days are so short and usually not sunny it is very difficult to get an hours worth of sunshine on a daily basis.

I ordered a full-spectrum lamp from Northern Lights Technology and used it last winter.

I did see an improvement.

Also tried to go out each day and walk in sunlight.
