Is it possible that you add to your distress by feeling stress over your distress? Hey, nobody's perfect and we all have our "things" so this is yours. Be nice to yourself, it's ok not to be perfect.

Hugs and all the rest...

If all she knows is that you were nervous about the Mikva and that you wanted to see it in advance; then this is something that is very normal, since everyone is nervous about the Mikva. And seeing it beforehand is a smart strategy.

If you mean that you talked with her about more issues; then the way to look at it is that everyone sometimes says more than they meant to, and it was bashert, and with time you will probably forget all about it.

Hi everyone!
I'm back. Married !!!

The mikva was kindah bad. The lady kept asking me what the matter was, that I looked upset... Loong story, but I ended up getting walked to my room and then my mother had to leave. Freaking out and then being left alone wasnt the best combination, but a friend really helped me out.

I gotta go for now, but just wanted to say hi and let y'all know...

Hope all is well

H.O. What parts exactly are you having trouble with? Is any of it getting easier?

This is gonna sound stupid, but i have a hard time showering anywhere other than home - so my heart starts racing... Being checked is a biggie for me, and by the time i get to the actual tevilah i can barely hear if she said kosher cuz my heart is beating so loud.
Getting back to myself afterwards is becoming a bit easier most of the time, with my husbands help.

You can shower at home, and go to the mikvah with your hair combed and still wet, and then usually what we do with someone like that is they ask to do an extra dunk just to get wet, in the mikvah itself. Ask your Rav if that is ok.

Its sure to get easier.

I feel kind of funny posting right so now please forgive me if it is out of place i.e. lacks in tzneus or good taste.
For a good number of years Ema would do her Chafifah at home with, I think, just a quick shower at the Mikvah just before going down. If I remember correctly it was pure convenience of not having the kids wonder why she is spending so much time in the bathroom that she decided to switch to the Mikvah.

>...with my husbands help.
I'm glad to hear he is being supportive.

Kol Tuv,
Aba
