is it yichud if im in the room alone with my therapist. it's in an office where a lot of other therapists work (not a clinic) but everyone works privately... just wondering...

Sometimes you need to run away just to see who will follow you.

Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say "I know you are not".

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm happy.

I can't give a definitive answer, but just a thought...
Isn't it kind of the same as being alone in the room with a doctor, or anybody in the health profession? I would think that it is like that - but maybe ask Dr. Price - he would probably know.

My understanding is that as with most things in halacha, it depends who you ask. Some people will only see same s-x therapists, some will see opposite s-x therapists with spouse in the room or just outside outside the door, and some consider it totally mutar b/c it falls into a medical-type heter. It's not a silly question at all!
