why is there no catagory for post truamatic stress disorder?!
i am a survivor of severe child abuse and struggle to get through every day. i have been diagnosed with deppression, anxiety disorder, complex ptsd, borderline tendencies and the list goes on. All of these diagnosies are part of the ptsd. would love to chat with others in similiar situations. Have been in therapy for close to five years now and have lots of work still ahead.
progress is slow but steady, and hope for a better future is something i have a hard time believing in.
take care everyone!

My wife suffers from a similar set of issues. Thought she doesn't like to "chat" to much on line she does have me respond from time to time for her.

Welcome aboard and Good luck with your work.

aba,
i noticed that you respond to posts quite often and was wondering what you were doing on this site other than offering support to e/o.
your screen name is something else i was wondering about, do you mind if i ask you about it? you refer to yourself as aba. can you tell me about that?
to me aba's can be evil. Or not. you certainly don't sound evil. looking forward to your response,

Debbi, thanks for your response.
even though i don't know you, it's amazing how much it means that s/o out there would be kind enough to respond to my post.
i've been in a dbt group for almost a year now. it's a huge challenge. but implementing the skills has make a real difference in my quality of life.
looking forward to chatting some more.

I have also seen EMDR help a lot of people who suffer from PTSD. You can look at the website EMDR.com and write questions publically or privately to me.
