i know this will sound funny but i think im addicted to frum support i just cant seem to get off it. i get such chizuk from reading the posts that befor i know it the night is gone. and then i get deppressed that i spent so much time on the internet like i wasted my whole night (even though its not a bad thing to be o frum support but its the thought of me staring at a computor screen for so long that sets me off) any ideas in how i can change my though process or something like that?

i was really hooked onto FS when i first found it, because of the support.
my t said to set time limits for myself, it doesnt matter how much time necessarily,
but just the fact that i can stick to the limit(which i dont always )
but i hear that you get a lot of chizuk from here, i feel the same way.

I can really relate to you Teachright... cuz I have the same probblem! FS is really great a support, but I find that I keep going online, and I'm neglecting SO many other things, bec I'm so addicted. And it gets me so depressed after as well... And as time goes on, the problem is just geting worse.

Your so right star - about having to set time limits. I think thats somthing that I really have to do for myself, bec this is geting a bit out of control. I just hope that I can stick to the time limit I set for myself.

I'm just wondering... what limits should I make? Like should I only allow myself on here on certain days? or is better to limit it to a certain amount of time per day? or both? Whats a normal, healthy amount of time to be spending on here?

I agree. maybe you could set a prescribed amount of time, like 30 or 60 minutes per day?

its not so bad. i strive for a little at a time every day its a little bit less.... but really i do it for frum support. i should do it for other things for example im addicted to finding recipes and im literly on food blogs and sites for an hour if not more which is nuts but like i said.
you really have to know yourself and then set limits even if it 5 min. shorter than u would of been on every minute counts.

like i tell my students and myself all the time "you dont have to be perfect im not looking for perfect things but you should train yourself.."
