Just wondering if anyone has social issues at work, and what has helped them to cope. I'm a quiet person, and I work with six other people. I'm finding it very difficult to join in on any of their conversations, and sometimes I will go the whole day without interacting. Any tips?

It might be helpful to begin by preparing a question as a conversation starter for a particular person based on something they said previously. For example, if one person said they are looking to buy a grill and everybody chimed in with their opinions as to the best one, the next day, you can ask that person, "So what grill did you end up buying?" or if someone said that their child was sick, you can ask, "How is your child feeling?"
It will make you sound like a caring person and start a conversation. Starting with one person at a time is a lot easier than trying to join the group.
