Hi, I am 35 years old and lost my father 14 years ago (he was only 49 years old) Although it's been 14 years now, I still think about him all the time and sometimes it's very painful. I think the main reason it can be so painful at times is because I have a lot of baggage inside that I haven't let out. What I mean is: There should be a bereavement period after losing a loved one and I don't believe I have gone through that process which is why I have such a hard time dealing with the loss.

I propose that we have a group therapy (in Brooklyn) for those who lost a parent. Opening up just may ease some of the pain.
