Limb Loss, as defined by the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA), refers to the loss or birth without an arm or a leg. Primary needs as they relate to lim loss include: Preventative medicine, Presurgical education and advocacy, Peer visitor support, Post surgical care (including pain management and wound care), Discharge planning, Prosthetics, Rehabilitation, Emotional support, and more.

My family is dealing with a trauma that left my wife with her right leg amputated above the knee (RAK).

The issues listed above are quite different for a Shomer Torah and Mitzvos, than they are other amputees. Without the opportunity to interact with others who (Chas V'Shalom) have encountered these issues; it has made travel from our local community burdensome; and often impractical.

We would be very grateful for this contact.
