For those of you who have been following our travails with our daughter, we now have a new diagnosis, which we hope explains a lot of her woes: Chana'la has 'delayed swallow reflex', meaning that her airways do not close fast enough when she swallows liquids, and some of the liquid is going into her airways, thus causing a lot of trouble (chronic bronchitis, wheezing, pneumonia, etc.). For now, we will try to thicken her drinks (daven that she will accept that - thickened water! uch!) and hope that she gets better real fast.
