Hi, ODD is oppositional defiant disorder , controversial in that it tells you what a kid does and not why. Usually it does not travel alone as temperament or poor coping skills , but comorbid to other conditions like ADHD , depression etc . Treating the comorbid condition usually helps with the ODD. Sometimes meds like Respiradil are used off label for aggression. IMHO behavior mod justs makes them resist more or they pick up being stroked or controlled. I would suggest a mentor , an environment which as far as behavior goes ' differeintates ' , makes accomodations , you would need an IEP as well http://www.explosivekids.org/dcforum/DCForumID2/130.html - here behavior is seen as a learning disability
