I dread pesach the whole year. It's a time that I have the least emotional support because everyones too busy cleaning to help me.plus I have terrible chometz anxiety that I can never clean something well enough so that is on top of my usual anxiety, along with feeling anxious about being on vacation, family coming , long yom tov days.
so: what do you think hashem wants out of keeping pesach if not to add to the usual burden and shake me up emotionally?

To celebrate our freedom from slavery and that which continues to enslave us. Everyone has their own personal list of things/people that enslave us all year long i.e. guilt, anxiety etc.

so ironically by not going crazy with cleaning and feeding my anxiety, I'm doing pesach just as well as someone whos scrubbing their whole house down, because I am not being a slave to my anxiety?

thanks!
another question: matzah versus bread is that matzah doesnt rise which teaches us not to have an ego.
so how does that work for the self bashing me which doesnt allow for an ego of any kind?
is this a lesson i can skim over cuz the depression takes care of keeping me flat as a matza year round?

i hate this yom tov. i hate him for making it. i hate people for making it worse.

Dr.Price, I'm really asking sincerely: whats the point of making us suffer through this chaotic yom tov?

There is no point to impose more suffering than already exists.

If a person is barely coping with life on a daily basis due to mental or physical illness, there is much room for heterim during holiday season so as not to impose more than suffering than already exists.

How do you think Hashem would feel if i ate chametz on pesach? i think the punishment is kareis, so does He cut me off/reject me?

You have to ask a posek about that one.

so a posek could tell me if i would get cut off?....im just asking in theory, i hope not to eat it on pesach. i just want to know that He will not reject me
in any way even if i sin. I just want to know if He would understand that im in so much pain which makes me do angry things like sinning.
I just want to know that i can do the biggest sin and He won't reject me. I doubt his unconditional love and acceptance, especially in this
crazy yom tov.

okay its over, but now I have another year to dread it.
Why why why did G-d create a holiday that is so emotionally upsetting/disastrous to me?
Am I just supposed to skip this yom tov?
(I did very minimal work and it was still too much for me.)
