On this forum, and with people suffering in general, it happens that people get hurt or upset at what someone said/did.
What happens if I explain to someone that I didn't mean to hurt them, I was only in a lot of pain which caused me to speak/act a certain way?Is there room for understanding and forgiveness?Do I deserve to be forgiven? How am I supposed to accept that I made a mistake if I'm being constantly reminded of past mistakes?

We have to accept that we all make mistakes all the time and therefore we are commanded not to hold a grudge and to forgive others and ourselves readily.

Someone keeps reminding me of a hurtful thing i said to them when i was really depressed. I said sorry twice and explained i was in a lot of pain. but they keep reminding me and this causes me to feel more depressed- see, im such a hurtful person. how can i make them understand that i forgive them for what they said to me and please stop making me feel worse by reminding me of past mistakes?
