Currently I'm not very productive. I stay in bed a lot and spend a lot of time online. I feel very stuck and lack energy.
My Psychiatrist -Dr. Shalom Feinberg believes very strongly that medication wont help. I've tried all different types over the past few years with almost no results.

I'm in therapy with a qualified/competent therapist but it isn't helping enough.

Would you recommend a Day Program?
It would need to be very professional where they would treat me with dignity.
Do you think it can help me get over my social difficulties and my depression.

If yes, are you familiar with any of them?

Yes. A DBT Day Program may be very helpful. Call Relief for programs through your insurance. Let me know how you make out.
You may also consider the magnet, TMS which I have used in my practice to help many people.

I've heard from too many people who've tried TMS with no results. Its expensive and doesn't seem all that helpful so I'm very hesitant to do it.

Dr. Feinberg is an extremely good psychiatrist! He's very well respected. I tried getting into his office but he's totally booked and not taking any new patients. I spoke to him once by phone and he seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Point being, you're lucky to have him as your doctor!

I called 4 winds they are checking to see if my insurance would pay for it.
Do you know of any other Day programs that are good? Maybe something closer to Manhattan?
(I'm hesitant to call relief)

Mimi, maybe get onto his waiting list...

Mimi, what more can you say about that program?
Do they treat you like a human being?
What's it like?
Is it for high functioning people?
