My stress level right now is 120% but my borderline is also acting up really bad. I'm looking for a medication that will take away or at least reduce my symptoms and suffering. Does this mean I'm looking for the easy way out?????? I still go to therapy, groups and try.....

Sometimes you need to run away just to see who will follow you.

Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say "I know you are not".

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm happy.

Using safe, effective medication for times like these may not be the first choice but is certainly preferable to harming oneself as a means to escape. Speak to your doctor about strategies and options to ease the pain.

There are psychiatrists who provide both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology so that you would only see one person who integrates both aspects of care. This may be ideal.

I'm not looking to go away from my therapist I just want to know if it's worth getting a second opinion by a personality specialist cuz my clinic psychiatrist doesn't specialize in that. She's just a regular mundane psychiatrist. I think she's good for someone who has clinical depression or a simple case not a complex case like mine...

Certainly worth getting a second opinion. Let me know how you make out.
