I am very tired.

Since October I sleep 15 hrs per day, going to bed at 4pm and waking up at 8am.

Psychiatrist and psychologist say I do not have depression or an anxiety disorder.

What are the most common causes of fatigue and how can I get it diagnosed?

Blood testing for EBV, CMV, Lyme, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, B12, folate, Vitamin D, thyroid, glucose, anti-immune disease and sleep apnea are the major culprits. Let me know how you make out.

Results:

Vitamin b12 elevated @ 1133 (normal range = 211-911)

C3 complement elevated @ 191 (normal range = 90-180)

ANA 1:40

Does this mean anything? Thanks!

The latter two may suggest auto-immune disease which is often associated with fatigue. Consider referral to a rheumatologist for further testing. Let me know how you make out.

Thank you

Would there be any reason why my b12 would be elevated (considering I don't eat meat and don't take vitamins?)

Ok thank you again! But this might take awhile.

I feel miserable, to put it mildly. I have no energy and am not really interested in doing things I used to. My husband says I've really changed.

If this will take awhile to figure out and psychiatrists/psychologist say I don't have depression, how can I feel better? I am too fatigued to exercise.

See a specialist quickly to get properly diagnosed and treated. There are medications that can be given short term to improve energy such as Provigil, Nuvigil and others. Let me know how you make out.

Those with weakened immune systems are more most susceptible to infections such as HSV, See Rheumatologist. Let me know how you make out.
