I have had a lovely therapist over the past 3 months. All signs were good.

I noticed a pattern where multiple times I was highly pressured (may I say harrassed?) into coming to appointments when I just came out of the ER for tachycardia; had the flu; and fainted in her office.

I emailed her I can't make my appointment because of food poisoning. After an email back and forth I wrote: "when sick I'm not able to function well. I don't see what I would gain out of therapy this week while so ill. Is the purpose of your visit for me or for your personal finances?"

She responded the latter, said she was now very flexible about coming in, and complimented me that I am very perceptive. I'm highly disturbed!

Thoughts?

Sad state of affairs. I am beyond disturbed already. You really need to be your own health advocate these days or work with someone who is one to navigate the system.
