I am really sad because I don't feel close to anyone and it's the most important thing in my life. I am really upset because I would like to be close to someone but I do not feel close to anyone not even family like siblings. I don't know what to do this means so much to me I have prayed to Hashem to have more friends and things like that I have wished for A twin my whole life. Every day I feel so sad and lonely I don't know what to do. As a little kid I was very close to my sister and I also had lots of friends but I lost them all when I became sick with a mental illness at the age of 14 and had to be hospitalized. No one was very understanding of my illness and how hard it was for me my siblings sometimes made fun of me or called me stupid and Camplain about me. Please help and give me some advice please I really need it as soon as possible thank you. Sometimes I feel like hurting myself because of this so I have not hurt myself in a long time.

Welcome back hopeful mommy. We at least I missed you. I know I wasn't on in a while, had a lot going on but I still come on I just don't post. Feel like people jump over it anyway... Happy Purim!!!!

Sometimes you need to run away just to see who will follow you.

Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say "I know you are not".

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm happy.

There is a therapy called IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) that may help you overcome this situation and increase your social network. Groups like this and others can help you feel connected to people who understand.

May I ask where you live? In New York there are all types of get togethers. It's not Jewish but I go to a group called Toastmasters where people practice public speaking. They also have crocheting groups as well where people get together and talk about their projects. A lot of these are free even
