Hi Dr. Price
Before I get sick (flue,...) I usually have a day or two where my mental health does down. Usually I do not know that I'm about to get sick.
I always wonder why this is happening. Why am I getting depressed again. Only when I start having a fever, or what ever it is, I can accept that I'm physically ill.
Is there any way to notice if I'm coming down with something or if it's depression acting up?
It's driving me crazy that when I have a bad day I immediately panic that I might get depressed again.
Usually I manage pretty well and can talk myself out of it, but it scares me every time.
B

There is a connection between an over active immune system such as with an infection and changes in mental status.
Another possibility is that sometimes we permit ourselves to be ill physically but not permit ourselves to be ill mentally.
Can accept that just with a flu, it will pass so too with a bad day, G-d willing it will also pass although very painful right now.
