Mostly depressed or mostly manic? Trouble with sleep, weight gain?

I thought bipolar means that at times you are depressed and at times manic. I need a drug to cover me so I don't get either.

More usually toward the manic side or more usually toward the depressive side? Oversleeping or under-sleeping? Overeating or under-eating? These are some factors to consider when choosing a medication. Pregnancy? Nursing?

I guess 65 percent manic and 35 percent depressed. I am overeat maybe because of medication. I sleep just the right amount but I take a sleep aid to help me fall asleep.

Other choices are Depakote, Latuda, and a combination of Zyprexa and Prozac.

Is latuda for bipolar disorder and do you think my dose of lamictal is too little?

Latuda is helpful in Bipolar Disorder. Can check a lamictal blood level and adjust dosage accordingly.
