Dear Dr. Price,

I was reading some books about orthomolecular psychiatry and have recently discovered that the supplementation with folic acid and b12 can help resolve certain kinds of mental health issues
like anger, aggression, mind racing even voices and hallucinations
They also recommend adding b6 zink vitamin c and niacin, usually about 3 grams
Under methylation is another term for low dopamine serotonin and norepinephrine where biomarker, histamine, is usually high
Over methylation on the other hand coincides with elevated dopamine serotonin and norepinephrine where histamine is low
So to much dopamine and norepinephrine that in some people can cause problems will tend to be over methylation with low histamine

My question to you as a doctor is about b12 supplementation
If you are taking b12 and folic acid is there a specific ration that you need to follow so that folic acid does not deplete b12
Also have you ever used hydroxyl cobalamin in you supplements

2:1 Folate:B12. Can check for the MTHFR gene to see if need methylated forms. No experience with hydroxyl.
