The New York City Council, in partnership with the City University of New York (CUNY), invites New Yorkers with disabilities to participate in a series of focus groups on transportation issues. Whether you use the subway, the bus, Access-A-Ride, the ferry, taxis, for-hire vehicles or dont use these options at all, they'd like to hear from you.

You would participate in a focus group and share your insights. Currently, they are planning to hold the focus groups between April 23 and May 11, 2007. Focus groups will be held in all five boroughs of New York City, at CUNY campuses and other accessible locations. Both day and evening sessions are available, and light refreshments will be served. You will meet with six or seven other individuals with disabilities and a focus group leader to discuss your experiences and choices regarding transportation.

Your participation is voluntary and would involve a time commitment of one hour to one and a half hours for the focus group session. Your feedback will ultimately help the City Council make informed decisions about transportation access for New Yorkers with disabilities.

To participate in a focus group, or if you have any questions, please contact May Chiang at the New York City Council, (212) 788-1779 or may.chiang@council.nyc.gov.
