Hi all
We have a boy of 14 years old that got a very fast heart rate in about 5 months age.
The 1st time it was gone when we got to the dr (mt sinia cardiolgy group).
The 2nd time at sinia er they could not break it with adenosine till they gave cardizem and was admitted for 2 nights, and released with atenolol 25 mg.
At that time they suggested to do a abilation we went to dr Gersony at cpmc he suggested atenolol 50 mg. and wait
The 3rd time the hazoloh tied to give adenosine but didn’t help so they took him to lijc er and they stopped it and sent him home but at that time dr Gersony at cpmc also suggested a abilation and was done BUT it was to deep and they did not have the right Cather for children so he came home without but they added verapamil sr 120 mg to his list.
The 4th time it happened in camp they took him haris and stopped it there but transfed him to cpmc and put him on flecainide asctate 50 mg x 2 (plus the atenolol 50 mg 1 x )

Now they want to do again a abilation

The question is should we do it or not

Please suggest
