Anyone know what type of treatment is there for fistulas in Crohn's disease?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean fissures? I have that. I actually had it a year and a half ago and did nothing about it because as suddenly as it came it went away. Now it came back but with PAIN. I kept on pushing off going to the dr. and finally decided to go when the toilet bowl was full of blood. She gave me a prescription for medicated suppositories, a cream and I must take a sitz bath at least 2 times a day. Oh! and I must eat more fiber and drink more water.
I would recommend you try to up your fiber intake, a minimum of 30 grams a day plus water. A sitz bath almost always feels good. If this doesnt help, then go to the dr.
I hope my long post has helped you somehow!!

Thank you for answering my question. What I have is a fistula and not a fissure.
It causes a lot of pain when you have a bowel movement.
Anyone has had one and got better? Would love to know any advice that you can share.

i have a fistula but it doesnt hurt only drains. The only drug that helped me was Remicade and it worked on me right away and it stayed closed for about 3 weeks after each shot. I had 3 shots precedure about 4-6 weeks apart. After that the doctor daid that medican insurance wouldnt cover over and its about $2,000 not sure if per shot or per 3 shot procedure. Either way i decided to stop it at that time and seriously started thinking about its possible side effects since its a mutation drug i think.
Anyway i think its worth a shot so to speak because it gives you hope and shows you that you can feel normal again.

Since then i've been trying to find a more natural cure and I'm capable of lessening the flow by eating smaller portions but more times per day and also taking vitamin C and vitamin B but so far not succesful at fully closing it.

So i keep trying different things and if anyone has any suggestions im open to anything.

Remicade is a medicine thats supposed to treat Crohn's and it is given through a shot of IV infusion.
You can read about remicade here:
