hi,
i'm new to the forum, and happy that it's here.
i have u.c. and was diagnosed a year ago. i had a colonoscopy done 4 days ago to recheck. before the colonoscopy, i was bleeding slightly, but feeling ok, and not really taking my meds religiously. after colonoscopy, i'm doing exactly as the doctor said (12 sulfazalazine and cortizone enema daily), and i'm feeling worse. is this normal? do people feel worse after a colonoscopy? i'm not on any diet, but i'm really considering one now. i just don't know what to do. i'm tired constantly, feeling freezing at times when it's really hot, and bleeding more that i was before. is it possible the colonoscopy made me worse?

any advice?

I dont believe that the colonoscopy made your uc worse, it might just be like a side affect- could be he liked touched the colon a little to hard etc. that irritated it.
In general never go easy on the meds unless your really feeling better. I made that mistake and eventually needed surgery. As opposed to a friend of mine that takes his meds regularly, and hasnt had a flare up.
