I don't know if this is going to make you feel better or not, but I was in a similar situation where first they said I didn't need surgery, but then when medication was not helping, the doctors just said that it's best that I go for surgery. Although I was only diagnosed about a month before, I had been in and out of hospital 3 times. When they told me that they would opperate - to me it was like seeing the light at the end of a dark tunnel! Because I knew that after surgery I would be back to normal!

Now a year and a half later, I have been feeling great ever since! Thank G-d!!!

Hope this is helpful.

Have a good Shevuos!

Hi! I had a resection surgery 12 weeks ago and am now fuly recovered. My Crohn's still does flare up at times.
The first week after surgery is horrible.. I wasn't ready for so much pain and weakness. Once you begin walking and eating again, every day is better. Right after surgery, try to walk... the sooner you walk, the easier it will be.
Please let us know how you're doing...Lots of luck!
