i'm in the middle of getting information on a girl who has Crohn's. However, that's as much as I know about it. I have NO knowledge on the disease at all and am very open to hearing all the options. A few main questions:

1) Is Crohn's a chronic illness?
2) Does Crohn's affect fertility?
3) Is there such a thing as 'not suffering from Crohn's anymore'? (s/one mentioned the word remission in connection to Crohn's and it threw me off.)

Thanks

Hi... Crohn's is a very vast & varying disease... so whatever you find out may or may not apply in the case of the girl for this shidduch. Presumeably the girls side know u r checking this out... so its best to speak to them via a shadchan & to speak to their Dr's to find out the specifics in their case...

with regard to your questions...
1) yes, crohns is chronic... but see #3
2) i don't think so... but maybe some of the medications/steriods that some people take for it could
3) yes... i personally know several crohn cases where it is 'inactive'...

Some people keep crohns in check with medicatioon, some with diets.. and others have it die down without any explanation...

Hope this was helpful...

Please check - I pm'ed you thanks
