Greetings and Salutations:

While doing some tests upon me, the urologist saw something he did not like and ordered a furtgher ct scan with die. This was just after Purim and he told me that I had renal cancer and the only question was if they could burn it out. A couple of more ct scans said no because the cancer was to close to the renal artery and just after Pesach ended, they took out my left kidney. The doctor is a Hungarian Jew and he told me after I woke up from the surgery that everything went well and they got it all before it left the kidney area. it did nto go into the outside fat and the renal artery(which was confirmed by the pathologist). he then informed me that the Satmir Rav just had passed away and who his family(especially his late father) had been helped by the late Satmir Rav.

Anyways it has been a little over a month since the surgery and he says I am doing well, but it could take close to a year before I become" normal" and the gas works its way out.

So has any of your correspondents expereinced this same health issue and any advice or warning on what I can expect in the future???

thanks in advance

pip, pip and cheereo

My machteinesta has kidney cancer. There is a brand new (as far as I know) treatment having to do with freezing the cancer. She went to Alabama for treatment and is now doing fine. It took two years before her extreme tiredness left.
