hi, I have ocd, the obssesive part mainly. is there anyone else who actually is afraid that he did something wrong, even if he actually did not? can ocd actually make you think you did something you really did'nt do????? I obsess about it so much that I really believe I did it, and it drives me crazy.

there is an ocd forum on this site. it does not appear that you posted this question there. have you actually been diagnosed as having ocd ?

I understand that therapists have methods that can help with this.

Here's something I heard that may help.

When, for example, someone locks the door, he should say "locked" out loud. That way, even if he doen't remember if he locked the door, he remembers that he said locked.

Similarly when someone said yaleh veyovoi, he can tap the table (or something similar), and he'll remember the tap.

I hope this helps.

Hope to hear good news from you. Have a good Shabbos.

I like this advice bec. even though I don't have OCD, it's easy to forget things, esp. if you weren't paying too much attention to begin with.
