Our grandson was born with club feet three years ago. After researching it on the internet, I found out about the Ponseti method. A Dr. Ponseti at the University of Iowa has been using it for many, many years to correct club feet. His method is not only less invasive but also more effective. He avoids major surgery on the baby, and it has now been found that his method also prevents the foot pain that often happens once the child in in his/her 20s and 30s.

Surprisingly, my grandson's pediatrician never heard of the Ponseti method, but we did find a highly regarded, mainstream orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Jon Herzenberg, who is associated with a major hospital. He did it on the baby. Thank G-d, the child is running today.

I cannot stress enough that if you have a baby with club feet, you should find a doctor experienced in this method. It is much, much better than the standard care. It is not weird or alternative. You can get more information on the internet.

Dr. Ponseti has a website, where you can find a doctor near you. His URL is:
