Anyone have experience with or know someone tops for knee surgery, specifically ACL rehabilitation? I ruptured my ACL and (possibly) tore my MCL in a skiing accident. I'm now regaining strength and ROM with physical therapy, but surgery is a strong likelihood. Please let me know if any of you know any specific doctor in the NYC area that's really good.
Thanks!

speaking from experiance physical therapy works for that if u stick it out and u make sure to do all the excercises. i dunno i went 2x a day once in the morning once at night for an hour each time for 6 months and my knee was soo strong afterwards and the acl was totaly healed. my dr said that had he done surgery it wouldnt have healed as nicely. obviously each case is different but b4 u jump into suregery make sure that what ull get out of it is worth the risks

Both my husband and myself have had knee surgeries and can highly reccomend our orthopedic surgeon. His name is Dr. Stuart Springer and he is located in Manhattan. Good luck and whatever you decide, continue your p.t. It will help strengthen the muscles that support the knee and will greatly aid your recovery.
