This is an issue that can affect anyone, chas v'shalom - due to the piguahs in Eretz Yisroel, automobile accidents, congenital conditions, diabetes and vascular disease, viral illnesses, allergies, infection, cancer, etc.

I am hoping this will be a great place to share chizuk and discuss issues with regard to limb loss (ie: phantom pain, mobility, prosthetic use (or non-use), secondary conditions caused by amputations, preventing future amputations (for those with diabetes or vascular disease - that might lead to that possibility), etc.)

I am also interested in access within our communities - getting into shul in my wheelchair, Shabbos with a wheelchair or crutches/cane with and without an eruv, use of a computerized prosthetic on Shabbos or Yom Tov, etc.

I basically understand how things work in the US, as far as prosthetics and medical care and community access - but what about in Eretz Yisroel?

Wishing you the koach and bitachon needed to face all of life's challenges, - B'Simcha
