I am a single mother of three and in an area that is a wonderful support system (when it comes to clothing etc).

My rant is that, babysitters are impossible... My children, due to what they have been through, constantly test people and I loose babysitters.

I got extremely depressed during pesach. Due to no help, and feeling really left out. I was unable to go to any public seders, due to how late they tend to go. Our first seder, B"H was wonderful Kids had alot of fun, second night my daughter got sick Also the stress, of not working, so bills are piling up! I barely have enough to pay the rent this month and bills. B"H I have plenty of food, but rent is due soon

During Chol Hamoed, I called begging anyone just to give me an hour (sanity break). Finally found a girl willing to watch kids for 1 hour... but honestly, it wasnot enough. I still feel ina slump.

I am glad that I found the MARCH organization, but I am not in NY so I guess we will see.

Oy, MM, do I understand you! It is so tough to have to deal with all this and not be able to get a break. Where I live it costs me $10 an hour in sitter's fees, making it nearly unaffordable to ever hire one! I have not gone out in 3 years, as sitters are expensive (and don't want to come for only one hour, they do want to go home with more than ten bucks you know...), and ex-hus does not utilize visitation. So I have them 24/7 and yes at times I feel I am exploding!!! The steam's gotta come out somehow sometime, eh?
Anyway, what can I tell you. I feel for you, and hope things get better.
