Hi Dr. Price,

My wife has Lyme disease plus co infections. Its causing her a lot of psych issues. Bipolar etc... She is on Limictal, Lithium, neronton, klonopin, and now Geodon.
She is still not fully stable. We are still going for treatments for Lyme . Hoping to see a new one in 3 weeks....

What is there to do with psychiatric issues? Any psych med u know good for people with Lyme? Any advice please? How much does Lyme go to brain and cause psych issues in your opinion? Thanks

There can be a connection between Lyme/infections and psychiatric symptoms. Antibiotics treat the Lyme. Psychiatric medications are individually tailored to treat the symptoms but not the Lyme.
